About

Saxophonist Jon Lloyd has been a leading figure in the UK jazz and free music scene for several decades. His critically acclaimed Ubuntu release "Earth Song" heralds Jon's return to European contemporary jazz, using classical and non-western music influences to write vibrant, melodic and emotionally direct compositions. The quartet features virtuosic pianist John Law and an outstanding emerging rhythm section of bassist Nick Pini (Laura Marling, Seth Lakeman) and drummer Alex Goodyear (Yetii, Simon Spillett).
