The West Bath shopping area centres on Green Park Station. Once the city's main railway station, the building is today home to a range of popular covered markets and a creative collection of independent traders every week of the year.
Shop for the finest local produce every Saturday at Bath Farmer’s Market, as well as the latest works from local artists at the monthly Bath Contemporary Artists' Fair, and quirky products from Bath's brilliant indie businesses at the monthly Bath Independent Market.
You may recognise Green Park Station from the BBC's 2021 TV adaptation of Nancy Mitford's The Pursuit of Love, starring Lily James and Emily Beecham, which used the building for filming in summer 2020.
Just off Newbridge Road on the outskirts of Bath you'll find the Electric Bear Brewing Co, where you can pick up a range of their beers to take home, or sample your way through their range at their taproom.
Nearby in the pretty village of Newton St Loe is Newton Farm Shop & Cafe, where you can shop for a range of locally-made food and drink, or sit down for a delicious lunch or dinner. They host a range of popular supper clubs and dining events throughout the year.
A little further on in Saltford is Flourish Foodhall, which has a wide range of organic, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan products. There's a dedicated counter for their skilled butchers, as well as speciality cheeses, deli products and patisserie. Next door is Flourish Kitchen if you need a bite to eat!
