Bath is home to two universities and several colleges, covering all types of study from undergraduate and postgraduate to part-time and vocational courses.

Universities

The University of Bath ranks highly on UK league tables, and was named the sixth best university in the country in the Guardian University Guide 2024. The University also features world-class sports facilities at its campus on Claverton Down, maintains a reputation for academic excellence, offers fantastic placement opportunities and achieves a high employability rate among graduates. A broad range of courses are offered, as well as many opportunities to study abroad and many societies to get involved in.

Bath Spa University is a popular modern university based to the west of the city near the pretty village of Newton St. Loe, which offers a wide assortment of flexible courses, from creative industries and cultural studies to sciences and humanities.
