Venture up the hill and enjoy Chew Valley Animal Park; a fully licensed zoo with a fantastic range of both domestic, exotic, and endangered species, such as camels, ring-tailed lemurs, and porcupines and many more!

Discover over 8 acres of fresh-air and picturesque countryside destination, just south of Bristol! The friendly staff are on site to answer all your questions and ensure you have an enjoyable and interactive with the well-cared for animals.

There is something for everyone at the park:

• Explore the animal walkway, spotting the range of species at the park

• Pygmy goat, piglet, and chicken walk-in paddocks open every day • Enjoy handling sessions with some of the smaller furry animals during Animal Encounters, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and mice

• Learn more with keeper talks, animal meet and greets, and animal training demonstrations

• Scratch a capybara, feed a meerkat, or train a fox by prebooking an unforgettable Animal Experience package

• Get involved with feeding the ponies, donkeys, and deer

• Discover the charismatic guinea pigs at Guinea Village

• Visit the up-cycled Park View Restaurant and Bar for light bites and made-to-order pizza, refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and freshly-ground coffee (vegan and gluten-free options available). The restaurant is perched in front of the camel enclosure, and you can also observe the whole animal park from there

• Also enjoy the Park View Restaurant on Thursday and Friday evenings for hearty home cooked favourites, pub classics, and delicious desserts

• There are even Sunday Roasts, with all food locally sourced and served with seasonal trimmings

• Discover and visit the range of events we host, from seasonal events, car shows, and live music

• Kids can go wild in the play park with a range of fun apparatus

• Book an engaging and insightful school or educational trip with a range of tailored workshops

10am to 4pm (Tuesday to Sunday) in autumn and winter
10am to 5pm (Tuesday to Sunday) in spring and summer

Open on Mondays on bank and school holidays

Closed Christmas Eve until New Years Day

Park View Restaurant open every day the animal park is open, and is also open until 10pm on Thursday and Friday.

 

Accessibility

Ramps up to indoor areas. Disabled toilets. Baby-changing facilities. Disabled parking spots. Most areas accessible to disabled visitors but some loose gravel areas and hilly areas. Free admission for dedicated assistants / carers.
