Newton Farm Shop and Cafe

About

Newton Farm Foods is a family business neatly nestled away on the Duchy of Cornwall Estate in the picturesque village of Newton St Loe, just 10 minutes from the city of Bath. This little gem incorporates a family farm, award-winning farm shop, traditional butchery, licensed cafe and outside courtyard. We are avid supporters of local producers wherever possible, many artisan and award-winning.

Farm Shop
An emporium for food lovers and beautiful things. Our speciality is in selling the finest, seasonal locally produced (wherever possible) fresh produce, spirits, wines, beers and ciders. In addition to high quality foods there is a delightful gift area for special presents; Kate Wescott handmade table linen, Mary Kilvert homewares; tea towels, plates, egg cups, mugs, Stump tea pots, jewellery by Plodge, Tractor Ted DVDs, books, crayons, plates, mugs and bath squirters, greeting cards and seasonal merchandise. The farm shop has been furnished with re-cycled materials wherever possible, including our vegetable rack which has been made out of the steps that used to be in our Maze maize, and old disused and preloved cupboards that we have found in our sheds having been stored for a long time.

Butchery
Our butchery is traditional in style with a modern twist. It is staffed by a small team of professional, highly skilled butchers, offering personal counter service at all times. Our award-winning pork and beef is grown here and sold here. We have gained an enviable reputation for producing and supplying the highest quality, fairly priced, British meats and poultry one can find – tasty, tender, all of which comes with impeccable, fully traceable credentials.

Licensed cafe – The Parlour
The cafe (The Parlour) and outside courtyard, has gained an amazing following for serving affordable, high-quality, freshly made seasonal food - making the most of exceptional local produce. It is open seven days a week and offers morning coffees, seasonal lunches and light bites, home-made cakes and Jersey cream teas. The food is freshly made, innovative, wholesome and rustic - in keeping with farm style comforts. The chef has gained an admirable reputation for his breakfasts and legendary Sunday roasts. The setting is relaxed and informal where tables, chairs and comfortable sofas are the order of the day, all of which overlooks the stunning countryside of the Duchy of Cornwall estate where our cattle graze throughout the summer months. This wonderful rural setting is surrounded by a network of lanes and footpaths, a paradise for cyclists and walkers. Takeaway’s are available and include Chew Moos ice cream, coffees, teas, cake, sandwiches and chilled drinks.

Outside catering
Newton Farm Shop cater for a range of events at your own venue, or favourite location, from business lunches and buffets, to barbecues and hog roasts. Weddings, funerals and special occasions.
