About

Dating back as far is 1719, the Grade II listed pub stands proudly on Keynsham Lock beside banks of the River Avon. Now back open after a sympathetic refurbishment, the old dear is looking as charming as ever.

Step into their cosy abode to a beloved foodie haven, you’ll be greeted by the warm embrace of British classics, prepared with hand-picked ingredients at the peak of their freshness. Our menus celebrate the changing seasons, showcasing delightful specials that pay homage to local harvests.

The jewel in the crown is their extensive garden, situated on the river Avon. A perfect back drop to those warm summer days with a crisp pint (or two), or while enjoying the fresh air under the heated canopies with a glass of wine in the winter.

Conveniently situated just a 10-minute drive from both Bristol and Bath, and just a 5-minute stroll to Keynsham Train Station.

Pete and the team can’t wait to welcome you.
