The Exhibition
Honouring one of the UK’s most celebrated authors, the Centre offers a unique yet iconic experience; a narrated talk from the costumed guides, followed by a tour of the exhibition, where visitors can explore the world of Jane Austen’s novels, and marvel at some exciting pieces from the film adaptations.

Even if you don’t find what you’re looking for after your first visit, the Gift Shop is free to enter without a ticket to the exhibition, and the online shop has the option to ship internationally.

Regency Tea Rooms
No visit to The Jane Austen Centre is complete without a visit to the Regency Tea Rooms. Beautifully decorated and delicious food - what’s not to love? After exploring the exhibition, instead of bringing your visit to an end, the Tea Rooms are located on the third floor and offer walk-in seatings. However, to avoid disappointment it is advisable to book online, in the case that there are no available tables.

Join Mr Darcy for an afternoon tea, or peruse the menu for a vast selection of cakes, teas or coffees, including the option of a smaller afternoon tea for younger visitors.
