About

The annual Midnight Walk returns to Bath on Saturday, 5 July, promising an evening filled with walking, talking, and dancing to support Dorothy House.

Participants can choose between two routes: the classic 5K walk or a 10K option for those seeking an extra challenge. A route map is available for reference.

In 2025, the event embraces a pyjama theme, inviting walkers to wear their favorite pyjamas, onesies, or dressing gowns. Alternatively, participants can upcycle stylish nightwear from Dorothy House shops.

The Midnight Walk is open to individuals aged 12 and over, beginning at the Bath Pavilion. Arrival starts at 9pm, with opportunities to enjoy food, drinks, and an energetic warm-up led by Cheryl Sprinkler from Mojo Moves. The 10K walk will commence at 10:30pm, followed by the 5K walk at 10:45pm, allowing participants to take in the stunning sights of Bath on a summer’s night.

Walkers will return to Bath Pavilion around midnight, where their achievements will be celebrated before the event concludes at 1am.

Proceeds from this year’s Midnight Walk will support the Hospice at Home service. At 10pm, as walkers begin their warm-up, the dedicated Hospice at Home team will be starting their night shift, providing essential care to patients in their own homes.

Each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of £50 for Dorothy House, which could fund two hours of overnight care provided by a skilled and compassionate Hospice at Home carer.

Event highlights include:

  • A complimentary drink upon arrival

  • Fully marshalled 5K and 10K routes through the beautiful city of Bath

  • Live warm-up entertainment

  • A variety of stalls, including an eco-friendly face paint bar and a photo booth

  • A DJ bringing lively party vibes
