This summer, The Holburne Museum is celebrating Pride for the first time…
Over two days, the Holburne's Pride event aims to increase the engagement of the local community with queer arts and culture through talks, creative workshops, films, cabaret, and silent discos.
Exclusively programmed by the Holburne Future Collective in partnership with Bath Arts Collective, they will deliver a rich and diverse programme aimed at a large cross section of audiences.
Programme Line Up Includes*:
Friday 14 June
4pm – 6.30pm: FREE – Drop in ‘Zine Workshop’ create your very own LGBTQIA+ themed Zine.
4.30pm FREE: HFC in conversation with Holburne Director: Dr Chris Stephens about the relationship between queer art and museums
5.45pm FREE: Professor Bob Mills: Maggie Hambling’s portrait of Derek Jarman
7pm FREE: Emerging Artists Panel Discussion
8pm The Holburne PRIDE Party featuring a huge lineup of drag artists from the South West
Saturday 15 June
11am – 2pm: FREE drop-in: Family-friendly drop in creative sessions
11am – 5pm: Family Silent Disco (30 minute slots)
11am: FREE perfromance from contemporary folk duo Humm
1pm: Queer Reads
3pm: A people’s choice film screening by Bath Film
6pm: Standup comedy from Joseph Parsons
8pm: Holburne Pride Silent Disco
