Chippenham Town Council looks after Chippenham Museum and also the town's historic Yelde Hall, a beautiful fifteenth-century timber-framed building a two-minute walk from the museum in the historic heart of Chippenham. The Yelde Hall, with its fascinating lock-up and council chamber, is free to visit and open at peak times or by appointment.
