About

Just 10 miles from Bath and on the fringe of the Cotswolds, you will find the historic market town of Corsham. A hidden gem waiting to be explored.

Surrounded by glorious countryside with a heritage High Street featuring golden Georgian buildings, made from the same Bath Stone as you find in the city, Corsham is home to a wide variety of award-winning independent shops and restaurants as well as the most colourful and noisy residents: peacocks!

The High Street is also bordered by stately Corsham Court at one end, set in Capability Brown designed gardens, and by the 17th Century Schoolroom and Almshouses at the other. It’s no wonder that this beautiful town and its buildings have featured in a number of films and TV shows, including the Oscar-winning Remains of the Day and BBC One’s Poldark.

For your evening entertainment, Corsham’s unique and vibrant arts centre, The Pound, is a bustling hub of music, theatre, comedy and art. Stay a while after enjoying a performance and enjoy the town’s many restaurants, cafes and pubs serving delicious local produce.

Corsham provides an ideal base away from the city of Bath with good transport links to explore the surrounding area, including Lacock and Castle Combe. Savour the relaxed, crowd-free atmosphere and make Corsham your next place to visit.

CANINE CORSHAM

Corsham is very dog-friendly and has loads of great places you can both enjoy – from coffee for you and ice-cream for your canine companion at No.3 The Deli to a cosy fireside pint and doggy treats at the Flemish Weaver. If you are staying in Corsham overnight, The Methuen Arms has dog-friendly bedrooms and offers a “Muddy Paws” deal online for special offers on dog friendly hotel rooms. An overnight stay, dogs staying for free, £25 dinner allowance per guest, breakfast and a doggy breakfast snack from only £130!

Even their shops are dog-friendly. Previous Homewares has an open-door policy for dogs and welcomes all their canine shoppers with a tasty treat. Look out for the “Canine Corsham” window stickers in all our participating shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

If it’s a gentle stroll through the historic High Street, or a more strenuous hike through Corsham Court, around the lake and towards Easton, there are a number of great walks for you and your dog, whatever the weather.

To encourage responsible dog owners, we also provide bag dispensers in key locations around Corsham so that you can clear up after your dog and keep our gorgeous town looking its best. These dispensers are kindly sponsored by Hale Veterinary Group, who wholeheartedly support and actively promote responsible dog ownership.

Corsham looks forward to welcoming you and your dog.
